Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21 June 2026
Learn Finance is an Android learning app operated by SimpleStack. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is used, when it is shared with service providers, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we process
Depending on how you use Learn Finance, we process:
- Profile information: the display name you choose during onboarding.
- App identifier: an identifier derived from your Android device ID, or a randomly generated identifier when that value is unavailable. We use it to recognise the app installation and sync learning progress. It is not your advertising ID.
- Learning activity: completed lessons and modules, quiz results, accuracy, XP, streaks, and other progress information.
- Usage and diagnostics: app screens and features used, lesson and quiz activity, ad interactions, approximate event times, device information, and diagnostic data collected through Firebase Analytics and Google Mobile Ads.
- Feedback: any message you voluntarily send through the Send Feedback feature, together with the app identifier.
- Advertising data: Google Mobile Ads may process the advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic information in order to provide, measure, secure, and personalise ads where permitted.
The app does not ask for your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, financial account credentials, or payment-card details. Course and quiz answers are educational activity and are not connected to your bank or financial accounts.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, and app features;
- sync and restore progress associated with the app identifier;
- personalise the in-app learning experience;
- understand usage and improve performance, content, and design;
- respond to feedback and support or privacy requests;
- display, measure, and protect advertising; and
- detect misuse, maintain security, and comply with legal duties.
3. Local storage and server processing
Your display name, app identifier, cached course content, settings, and parts of your progress are stored locally on your device. Progress, feedback, and the app identifier may also be transmitted over HTTPS to our service so that relevant app features can operate.
4. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only as needed to operate the app, comply with law, or protect users and the service. Providers used by Learn Finance include:
- Google Firebase Analytics, for app-use measurement and analytics. The app identifier may be used as an analytics user ID, and your chosen display name may be sent as an analytics property.
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads, to provide and measure advertisements and help prevent ad fraud.
- Our hosting and API infrastructure, to provide content, progress syncing, daily quizzes, and feedback handling.
Google processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. See the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
5. Advertising choices
You can manage or reset advertising preferences in your Android and Google settings. Where applicable law requires it, Google may request consent or limit ad personalisation. You can also review Google's My Ad Center.
6. Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until it is replaced, you clear the app's storage, or you uninstall the app. Server-side progress and feedback are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide and improve the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Third-party providers retain information according to their own retention settings and policies.
To request access to or deletion of information associated with your app installation, use Profile → Send Feedback and begin the message with “Privacy Request”. Include the device/app identifier if requested so that we can locate the correct records. You may also use the developer contact information displayed on the Learn Finance Google Play listing. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information where legally required.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including HTTPS in transit. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Our providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
8. Children's privacy
Learn Finance is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate. Local law may set a higher minimum age for consent.
9. External links
Learn Finance may open Google Play pages or other external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version and update the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through the Google Play listing.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use Profile → Send Feedback in Learn Finance and begin your message with “Privacy Request”, or contact the developer using the contact details displayed on the app's Google Play listing.
